It’s the Love Season! Love is in the air and most of your time is most likely being spent searching the internet for sweet gift ideas. Valentine’s day is just around the corner… to be more precise, it’s actually just a day away from today. If any of you are like me, you most likely are in a panic because you haven’t yet settled on anything for your loved one. We have put together a list of sweet ideas which you can still do on a short notice such as this for your loved one:
This is a classic Valentine’s Day idea. No matter how many times you go out with your lover, it never gets old. It almost always feels like the first time. Although slightly expensive, dinner dates are always worth it. Always make sure to log off from social media before the date. Be fully present and devote your full attention to the conversation and the person you are with.
Check out these places that are hosting dinners this Valentine’s Day:
- Meikles Hotel (Harare)
- The Village Lodge (Gweru)
- The Space (Harare)
- Daisy’s Guest House (Harare)
- The Bistro (Harare)
- The Rainbow Hotel (Harare)
Pack A Picnic
This is my own personal favorite and something that I would definitely do, time and resources permitting. Picnics are a perfect for the romantics at heart and for nature lovers who want nothing more than to spend time with their lover far-away from the madding crowd.
Travel Buddies, Anoziva and Kelvin are inviting couples who enjoy “chillax, braai and good conversations” to “Picnic on the Lawns”. The picnic will be held on the 24th of February at the National Parks Gardens in Borrowdale.
Say “I Love You” with flowers
Instead of saying I love you verbally, you could let flowers do it for you. Pop in to your local florist and select her favorite flowers. Alternatively, you could order a custom-made bouquet from the following places:
Get a Spa Voucher
Sometimes what she/he needs more than anything is some rest and pampering hence a day at the spa would be perfect.
The Skin Spa in Harare have vouchers for couples as well as girl squads who’d love to spend the day together
Make a “Love” Hamper
A specially prepared hamper which has all the little things which your lover enjoys would certainly put a smile on their face. This is a very personal gift idea since it requires you to really know your partners likes. If you don’t know your partner well enough you could enlist the help of professionals such as Cuptown to do the job for you.
Attend a Concert
If you aren’t a dinner or picnic type of couple, then you most likely are a couple that loves music and dance. Therefore, the red mic concert hosted by Heart and Soul radio would be your cup of tea.
